We offer an interpreting service here at the surgery for our patients.
We use a specialised company – The Big Word who will match the required language and send an experienced linguist to translate and give the patients clear indication of what is discussed in consultation.
If you require an interpreter please let the receptionist know when booking so they can allow extra time for your appointment and book the interpreter in advance.
We also offer interpreting services for Walk in patients. This will be in the way of telephone interpreters.
The Clinician will need to call the interpreting service and get connected using the on call interpreting service .
If you like you can always bring a family member or friend to interpret for you, if this makes you feel more comfortable.
